I’m not going to lie to you… it really doesn’t feel like Spring yet in Northern Canada *tear*. In fact, we got some fresh snow on the ground last night (seriously!). But the sun is staying out longer, peaking through my blinds in the evenings, and the air is getting warmer, so I’m still convinced it’s coming! In the meantime, I made the inside of my home feel like Spring by decorating with some beautiful earthy tones! So happy to be a part of this Spring Home Tour with an amazing group of Canadian bloggers (links below). I hope you like the living room and kitchen tour :)
Please ignore my ratty old couch… it’s on the goal list to be replaced this year (as long as I can save enough moola!).
I dressed up my favourite DIY coffee table with a simple tray and a couple of decorative items.
The theme of this spring decorating was: simple. I always aim to have decor that my babies can manipulate without breaking anything, or getting hurt. So I kept my rule of three and placed a couple of small pieces on each of the side tables :)
And did you catch that gorgeous DIY Spring pillow (with a video tutorial!) in the corner of your eye?! It’s my new favourite Spring piece!
Then there’s my simple Spring mantel!
LOVE the way these simple Plywood Polaroids look on the mantel!
The final corner of my living houses our Industrial Shelf – easily my favourite piece to decorate!
On our way into the kitchen, we pass the Spring Command Center :)
I LOVE having a magnetic clipboard on here! I can change the print out every season. This one by Craftberry Bush looks perfect right now!
I didn’t do much to decorate the kitchen because it gets so much traffic. A few little touches were enough to bring this room into Spring.
LOVE our DIY rustic light hanging from the ceiling :)
Can’t hide the oak cabinets… lol. Might as well embrace them!
What did you think?! Do you decorate for Spring? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Now it’s time to check out the beautiful Spring homes of more of my favourite Canadian bloggers!

Thank you Shauna! I’m SO jealous of your nice weather! Praying for Spring weather here soon too!
What pretty Spring vignettes! I love all of the pops of green and that command center, swoon!
It doesn’t matter how I dress up that command center – it looks good at every season! lol. Thanks for stopping by!
So pretty and welcoming, Lindi! I love all the hits of green and blue!!
Thank you Krista! I thought the green and blue would blend with your tastes :) lol.
Love all the touches of green! And those wreaths in the patio doors (do you have blind inserts in the window or just no blinds at all?) Thx for the he tour!
Thanks Kendra! We used to have blind inserts there but we took them out. They were always up and we never used them anyway, so we just removed them :) I like it better letting the light in.
I’m so intrigued by all of your awesome DIY projects, especially that coffee table! Definitely going to check those out! Thanks for the tour!
Thank you Courtenay! Yep, this house is full of DIY projects! They shine when I have time to style them properly :)
Your house looks so fresh and pretty for spring! And I’m sure spring will come…any day now! ;)
Lindi, I love all of the green! I’ve been so focused on the outside of our home that I’ve totally neglected the awesomeness that is houseplants. You’ve got some beauties in your space! I also love that command center – it’s stunning! I need something like that – currently it’s a sad-sad bulletin board just chucked up on the wall. Lovely tour – your house is gorgeous!
Aww! Thank you so much Tara! I love being a part of these tours!
Love what you’ve got going on here girl. It’s fresh and simple – just like spring!
Thank you my friend! Always a kind word :)
I hear you on the spring inside, winter outside! So glad we can make it spring in our homes even when the weather isn’t cooperating, haha. Love those new spring pillows, so, so pretty.
Thank you! They are a DIY and I was really unsure of how they would turn out, but I LOVE them!
Feels like Spring! Love all the greens and blue. Your command centre is too cute with all the different textures, Pretty Pretty!
Thank you so much Lindsay! It was so much fun decorating for Spring :)
Lindi! I just love all the black, white, wood, and GREENERY! It’s perfection for spring. and that letterboard? AMAZING. I’ve ordered one and am not so patiently waiting for it to arrive.
Thank you so much! You will LOVE your letterboard! I make it a goal of mine to shock my husband, lol. It’s addictive!
It all looks so beautiful Lindi!! I love all of your DIY projects – especially that spring pillow and your command centre. It was so nice to tour with you! (and thanks for the little Home Decluttering Diet cameo!)
