Can you believe that it’s almost Mother’s Day?! Less than a month away! So I’m taking a break from my One Room Challenge to show you my DIY Cork Serving Tray. This DIY tray is both stylish and functional – and it’s so easy to make!
Once a month I pop over to fellow Canadian blogger, Jenn’s site, Clean and Scentsible to share a tutorial. This month I’m sharing the whole tutorial for this DIY Cork Serving Tray.
My Mother isn’t really the DIY type. lol. She often tells me she doesn’t know where I get all of my ideas (honestly, I don’t know either!). Although she doesn’t make anything herself, she still appreciates a nice DIY gift here and there!
I love this tray because it’s so multifunctional. You can use to to serve breakfast in bed or to carry your afternoon coffee and pastry to your reading nook (*cough* mom *cough*). You can stack a few books, add some flowers and set it on the coffee table, or incorporate it into a seasonal vignette. When a functional piece is so stylish, sometimes you just have to use it as decor!
If you’re wondering how to make your own, please stop over at Clean and Scentsible for the full tutorial!
It turned out so good. I love the colour too!
I would have never thought to use cork for this, but it’s so smart! I bet it helps to keep everything from sliding around too much, plus it looks super cute.
