Delicious Snowman Treats

There is nothing like a good old-fashioned Rice Krispie square!
When they are soft, and chewy, and delicious…. my mouth is watering already!
In preparation for the Christmas season, I thought I would put a twist on the classic recipe by making some delicious Rice Krispie square Snowmen.
With only a couple of extra steps, you can have these adorable winter treats in no time.

Ingredients:

Rice Krispie Snowman Treats

8 tbsps of butter (this is the secret to soft and chewy!)
1 pkg (about 40) of large marshmallows
1/4 tsp vanilla
6 cups Rice Krispie squares
1 pkg. of white chocolate melts (I used Winton melts)
orange jube jubes
red/green chocolates
large and small chocolate chips
Licorice twists

First you make the Rice Krispie circles. Melt the butter, marshmallows, and vanilla over low heat, stirring often. Once completely melted, remove from heat and immediately add Rice Krispies until well coated. Press into a 13×9 inch pan and spread mixture evenly. Let cool.

One they are done, you can form them into circles using a circle cookie cutter. Or if you don’t have one (like moi!) you can just use a greased glass cup :)

Next, prepare the white chocolate melts as per the instructions. When the chocolate is ready, carefully dip the snowmen in, and decorate as desired before the chocolate hardens. The bumps and lumps from the Rice Krispies are ok – they are exactly what a real snowman would look like!

As you can see…. I made some with earmuffs, and some without!
They tasted amazing and looked adorable.
Can’t go wrong making these as a winter treat!
