Six Months

Evelyn is now 16 lb 2 oz, 25.5 inches long and 6 months old.

Half a year. Half a year? Where is the time going? Today, I take my once-a-month digression from DIYs and home decor to update you on my little girl. This little girl doesn’t seem so little anymore though. She’s eating solid food and LOVING it. She is laughing at her sister.  She is almost sitting up. If she has something to fall back on, she can sit up forever. She popped her first tooth out last week, and is definitely working on another one! I’ve never seen a child with so many different facial expressions (I tried to capture a few below). She’s on a pretty steady schedule now, and usually naps when her sister does <insert happy blogger mommy face here>.  She LOVES her sister. I always catch her staring and smiling at her; learning from her. They had their first bath together, and it was just as adorable as you are imagining right now. LOVE THEM!! In other news, I had my first “I-can’t-do-this-I’m-not-a-good-enough-mommy” meltdown since Evelyn was born. Man this mommy thing can be tough sometimes! But my husband gave me an afternoon off (bless him!), and the sun is shining, and soon we will be able to play outside. So life is looking pretty good right now. I wouldn’t trade this mommy gig for anything. Life with two girls is bliss.
