It has begun!!!! 🙌 We’re giving the exterior of our home a HUGE makeover this summer. I’m talking painted siding, painted trim, new back doors, new front porch (ish) situation ... It’s gonna be a big transformation! And we started by spending 8 hours this week sanding all the wood siding with our @wagnerspraytech PaintEATER (which is on sale on Amazon this month if you need to sand too!!). I’m looooving all your paint suggestions, and I honestly still haven’t decided 🙈🙈 Tell me it’ll all be ok?! 😂 And wish us luck!! Full summer of exterior posts coming at ya!

Our hideaway under the stairs!! 🖤 It’s not 100% done, but here’s a sneak peek at my favourite part so far!! The space is so small that we made these fabric panels for the walls so that the kids could lean and still be comfy! I LOVE how everything is coming together in here - the wallpaper, the panels, the moody paint colour from @valsparcanada! What do you think so far?!

Ahhhh... it feels so good to rest in this room! We gave it a deeeeeep clean with our @wagnerspraytech power steamer (did you see our embarrassing before videos?! 😂), and finally got motivated to decorate for winter!

Here are my quick tips is you want make your space cozy and decorate for winter:

1. Rearrange your furniture! Bring pieces in closer, or change out pieces to change up the space and make it cozy.
2. Add greenery to breath life into the space!
3. Layer on the Textures! Comfy throws, sheepskins, textured pillows, etc.
4. Bring in some warmth - woods, leathers, etc. To make if feel warm against the cool weather outside.
5. Don’t forget about lighting! Add lamps, candles, etc. to replace the glow you lost when you put your Christmas tree away - especially on these short winter days!

Figured I should post something so you all knew we didn’t quit Instagram... 😂 I may be late, and I may still have some Christmas decor around my home, but I’m here! 🖤 Russ and I are getting ready for some BIG changes and some BIG renovations this year! Who’s ready for it?! 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ This little nook got a couple of floating shelves with the help of @kregjig and @build_something but the upstairs has a LONG way to go!!
