I’m back with my Canadian blogging friends for another 12 Months of DIY! If this is your first time, each month we choose one item, and 12 great Canadian bloggers create beautiful and unique projects using the same item! Last month we all used Felt and I made my stylish Felt Wall Organizer. This month we were challenged to use vinyl in a project, and I decided to show you how to make your own Subway Number Art!
*This post was sponsored by Expressions Vinyl. Opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for supporting Love Create Celebrate. For more information, please read my disclosure policy.*
If you don’t know what Subway art is, a quick google image search will give you a pretty good idea. It’s basically arranging words or numbers in a creative way that it pleasing to the eye. I LOVE the look, and I new my industrial design eye would enjoy seeing a numbered version.
Materials:
1 Roll (5 yds) of Expressions Vinyl
Cricut Explore Air 2 ™
30″ x 40″ canvas

(it’s all ready to go, just click and print!)
Black and white paint
Paint brushes or rollers
If you have a cutting machine and you haven’t used 5yd roll of black vinyl, then you are missing out! It works great perfectly and is a fraction of the cost! My 5yd roll of black vinyl was only $12!
I’ve had this canvas art idea in my head for a while, and this vinyl project was the perfect time to make it happen.
Because I think it’s always easier to learn with a video, I made one to show you how quick and easy this project is! Enjoy :)

I’m so happy with the final product! What do you think?! I was a little worried about whether of not the lines would be perfectly straight, but the trick I shared in the video worked perfectly!!
Now it’s time to see the rest of the DIY vinyl project ideas from my Canadian blogging friends!
