Faux Metal Industrial Flower Pots

Faux Metal Industrial Flower Pots

I had fun with a new project this month! My first post of every month, is my Create With Me project. I ask YOU to vote on what I should use for my next project. Last month I made Just String Lanterns (one of my favourite summer projects!), and you voted for me to use Terra Cotta pots this month. After experimenting with a few different paints, I think I found the perfect combination for achieving that faux rusted metal look! I hope you like these faux metal industrial flower pots! Faux Metal Industrial Flower Pots

I love touches of rustic and industrial decor in my home. So many of my DIYs are moving in that direction because it is how I naturally love styling my home. I saw these rusted metal flower pots at a store recently and knew immediately that I wanted them in my home. The price tag just didn’t agree with me :( lol. So when you voted for Terra Cotta Pots last month, I figured that this was as good a time as any to pull out my paints and start experimenting!

Before I get to the tutorial, I need YOUR vote for next month! You have until FRIDAY to vote. Check back in next week to see what won :) I can’t wait to see what you ask for!

This week I made another great video tutorial to show you how I completed the project. Let me know if you have any questions after watching!

I’m so happy with how they turned out! You will find many of these little pots in my shelves now! Can’t wait to try out my faux rusted metal look on some more home decor pieces.

Do the clay pots have to be sealed first, to ensure you can water the plant inside without water bleeding through the pores of the clay? Most clay pot painting tutorials say to apply a sealant. Thank you (these look beautiful by the way)

Hey Tammie, I didn't seal mine and they've been fine, but the plants I have have been low water ones so I haven't had any issues. You could seal them if you like :)
