Join me for my first EVER home tour as I link up with a group of bloggers to show off our holiday decor. Feast your eyes on my burlap Christmas decorations!
Welcome to my first EVER home tour! I’m so glad you could join me! This week I’m partnering with an amazing group of bloggers to show off our holiday decor. There are some absolutely stunning homes on display this week. I’m honoured (and a little bit intimidated!) to be joining these ladies. But I’m very excited to show you all the burlap Christmas decorations I’ve incorporated into my space.
So let’s get to the tour!
Outside
Starting outside, you can really see that winter has come to Northern Canada! I only had a few hours of good daylight to take all these pictures!
Inside
When you come inside the front door, this light fixture shines above your head, full of greenery, berries, and gold sparkles. Now, let’s head into the kitchen.
The Kitchen
You may notice our yarn wreath party favors (being shared tomorrow!) on your way into the kitchen.
The kitchen table displays our burlap crate centrepiece and the burlap and yarn table runner, both of which I shared earlier this month :)
The pictures I keep on the wall have a lot of orange in them usually—which really doesn’t go with my Christmas decor. So, I wrapped them up and made them festive!
It’s just as snowy out the back door as it is out the front!
Hot Chocolate Bar
On the way out of the kitchen, you might notice a lovely hot chocolate bar! This is a scaled down version of the cocoa bar I shared last year.
Living Room
Now, we’ll step out of the kitchen and into the family room.
I love how the Christmas tree shines! Full of red and gold sparkling ornaments—plus a few homemade ones—like the jute string mini wreaths! We have the string Christmas trees on display above the hutch here, and a few more pictures, wrapped and hidden for the holidays.
And our beautiful tree, with a few presents already wrapped and waiting for Christmas!
Mantlepiece
I LOVE decorating this mantle for ANY season, but Christmas is definitely the favourite one! This year, I hung a couple homemade burlap garlands along the windows, and I scattered some red and gold decorations along the fireplace mantle.
Finally, we move back to the front of the house!
To the left of my big comfy chair, you see a couple of Christmas crafts that my husband and I did together. We both made a frame that will forever hold pictures from our first Christmas together. Then, he BUILT that truck and those trees last year—can you believe that?! He’s so talented!
To the right of the comfy chair are our adorable plaid animals, and some greenery with a touch of gold throughout.
Above the comfy chair, you see my burlap wreath hanging in the window. Just above it, is the homemade colourful burlap mitten garland :)
And lastly, a secret basket, hiding all of my daughters’ toys! With a Christmas hat or two thrown in just for fun :)
Thanks for following along!
Well, it was more of a kitchen & living room tour than a home tour. But I think I managed to squeeze a lot in there anyway!
Thank you SO much for stopping by! I hope you found something you liked :)

Love that hot cocoa mini bar! Do you keep that out all season or was that for a special event? I kinda like the idea of having hot cocoa ready at my fingertips 24/7 haha. :)
I love the little pinecone detail on that table runner. Such a sweet little touch. :)
Previous years I only put it up for a party, but this year I made a scaled back version that I kept up all season long (so far!). It’s getting well-loved. Speaking of which, I need to go fill up the hot cocoa… lol.
I really love the chalkboard items. I just love that the black chalkboards are coming back in style.
