Do you entertain a lot during the holidays? Whether I’m travelling or staying at home, I’m usually helping to create some party buffets and helping to host a few family members. I LOVE the holiday season and I love entertaining, so it’s win-win for me! A dessert bar is just about the easiest form of entertaining there is, and I’m going to show you just how effortless this one was!

How to create your own Holiday Dessert Bar

I started by setting up a simple dessert station behind my dining room table—just the top of an old buffet :)

Coffee and dessert bar set up with multiple desserts and single pod coffees.

The first thing a good dessert bar needs is coffee! I was planning to set my whole Keurig up on this buffet, but it didn’t fit once all the food was ready, so I left the Keurig on the kitchen counter, but still put the coffee and creamer on display.

My coffee of choice was this organic dark roast, which is so good. Also, with my new acreage lifestyle, I’m 100% on board with these pods being compostable! #Dontwanttopaygarbagefees

Two things to keep in mind

Here’s what you need to keep in mind for an easy peasy dessert station:

  1. Stick to three or four desserts
  2. Don’t bake them all yourself!

Ok, I know some of you LOVE to bake. But with two toddlers on my heels, I can only manage so much!

I started with these Mini Chocolate Covered Cheesecakes. I originally wanted to buy these Candy Cane Cheesecake Lollipops, but my local store is sold right out of them, and won’t have more for two weeks. So, I bought these bites instead and they are DELICIOUS!

Next, I showed off the one dessert I made: No Bake Candy Cane Cheesecakes. They are SO good! And I’ll be sharing the entire recipe in a couple of weeks—so come back to see how easy these are to make!

And then I had to have something that the kids would want too. Although I didn’t anticipate how much the adults would love them too, lol.

These Chocolately Filled Chocolate Cookies are the perfect final addition.
